BRIMFIELD, Ill. — For years now, Caterpillar, Inc. has staged epic video trials including giant Jenga and Pac-Man games.
But, CAT’s outdone itself with it’s latest video…a giant Hot Wheels track, complete with life-size race cars.
“They’re true Hot Wheels cars, wrapped and branded as Caterpillar in their different services,” said Josh Haye, Field Operations Manager at Caterpillar’s Edwards Demonstration and Learning Center in Brimfield.
Hayes told WMBD’s “The Greg and Dan Show”, crews spent three weeks creating the elaborate Hot Wheels 6,500 foot Hot Wheels track for the video.
“We focused on the power of play and using STEM, like STEM education. People involved in different facets, facets of the construction world, so that was really our focus as well,” Hayes said.
Caterpillar’s Hot Wheels trial is the biggest undertaking to date in the trials series. Workers moved 15,000 yards of dirt on-site, over 6 and a half acres of land.
Previous trials have brought to life giant Pac-Man and Jenga games, among others.
