PEORIA, Ill. – Three people were arrested, while two more remain wanted, following a shooting incident Friday.
It was originally thought someone had been injured after a ShotSpotter alert of 30 rounds fired just after 3:00 p.m. near Griswold and Grinnell, but that turned out not to be the case.
What police do know is that people were firing runds from inside a repoirtedly stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was abandoned, but the group got in another vehicle that later went off the road near Sheridan and Wilcox.
After foot pursuits, police arrested three teenagers, and located two guns.
Kamerion Causey and Keinno Johnson, both 18, along with a 16-year-old, were charged with Possession of Stolen Vehicle and Resisting Police, while the juvenile also faces weapons charges.
