SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Days after the multi-state $1 billion Powerball jackpot was won in California, the other multi-state game is getting closer to that amount as well.
No one matched all five numbers and the “Mega Ball” in Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing, moving that jackpot to $820 million for Tuesday night’s drawing.
The winning numbers were 29, 40, 47, 50, and 57, with the Mega Ball number of 25.
The Illinois Lottery says a number of Illinoisans won $10,000, but that’s as close as anyone got here in winning a major prize.
Both Powerball and the Illinois Lottery’s Lotto game draw Saturday night. Powerball’s jackpot is back to $20 million, while Lotto is at a record-setting $19.85 million.
