CANTON, Ill. – A fallen tree limb is to blame for what police in Canton call a “widespread” power outage in the city.
Ameren’s outage map has about 550 customers in the dark at this hour.
The fallen tree limb also reportedly caused a small fire that was quickly.
Police say the power lines are being investigated for their integrity following the accident.
