PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say they arrested a man after he led officers on a foot chase following a fight.
Police say it started around 12:15 a.m. Friday on North Street near Knoxville and Forest Hill, with a group that was reported to be fighting but fled after police arrived.
A vehicle that fled the area was later found on Western – but its driver, Levon Pruitt, 19, allegedly fled again.
Pruitt was arrested, but not before a loaded 9mm gun was found in his flight path.
Pruitt is jailed on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Obstructing Police, and having No FOID Card.
